Train To Bismarck

Looks at her wine oddly and sets it cautiously on the table next to her.

"No no, the wine is fine! However I'm craving something...a little heavier on the alcohol," I say to the half-elf

"Oh well..." The woman scratches the back of her head, looking at you very confused. "Um...we DO have other drinks...but you would have to go to the bar in the diner to pay for something like that."

"Sounds like a waste of time to me."

I chuckle again. "Well, I for one will not be partaking in anything heavier.." I pause and look to see that my glass is still half full of wine. "Might as well not let this go to waste.. " I say as I take a final gulp and rest it on the tabletop.

"Aye, alright then. Thank you, miss!" I say with a big smile while facing the assistant.

The woman drops her head in embarrassment. Speaking quietly. "I could go get you some if you give me some gold. I think. I guess."

"Gwen dear, take the wine slowly." Pats her shoulder. "We need to be in top shape" Smiles and takes a small sip of my wine.

I'm suspicious about this offer but I don't show it. (sense motive roll:17)

The girl seems to genuinely want to be helpful. However, she doesn't seem too confident about choosing to do so.

"Alrighty, how much is it for a bottle of vodka then miss?" I smile as I approach her, pulling out a wallet

I nod slowly and look up to Anna. "I didn't think the wine would affect me so strongly, or perhaps it's because I have not much nourishment in me." I rub my stomach.

"...and some food?" I add, after hearing Gwens remark

"I think it's 8 or 9 gold?" She looks away, losing herself in thought whilst counting on her fingers. "6? Maybe?" She looks back up to lock eyes with you briefly before saying "7...7 gold. Yeah, 7...7 is it."

"Some food sounds pretty good right now." I place my wine glass, that I only tried drinking from once, on the table.

After hearing of food, she begins patting herself down and cursing under her breath. "Uhh...I'll bring you a menu after I get the vodka."

I reach into my wallet, and hand the girl 10 gold,"Keep the change,"

"Ehem, Thank you very much." I say to the woman as I smile.

A large smile possesses the girl's face as your coin drops into her palm. "Bl-bless you...oh praise Corellon Larthian. Thank you. I will be right back!" as she walks backward out the door and closing it quickly. You hear the quick thumping of her feet against the ground soon after.

I throw myself back down into a seat and peer out one of the windows, trying to figure where we may be passing through.

I laugh to myself, "I think you just got your first fan, Natalya."

Staring out the window, you actually don't catch much more than what appears to be dead crops that workers are still tending to hastily. However, you can get a vivid view of the bright, blue sky that shines across the dreadful land.

I notice how odd the woman acted upon asking the price... "Do you think she could get into trouble for this?" I ask curiously. "I wonder why she's acting so skittish."

"That girl was so sweet." Starts to play with my Corellon earing.

"Heh, maybe!" I say relatively quietly in reply to Kirt, still letting my eyes wander around the land outside the window. "She might be new to the job or something. Whatever the case may be, thank the gods this place carries vodka!"

(by the way, I'm assuming other players characters that haven't said anything yet are either napping during the ride or sitting very quietly...is that pretty much safe for me to assume?)

"In any case, it seems a little extra gold is worth the trouble."

(The only one appearing particularly inactive is Vladus 0.o)

"I wonder how long we've been traveling..." I look out one of the windows in a daze, and take another sip of wine.

(I think she means Lizzie and the others that aren't playing..Lol)

Remaining in my seat listening as the others converse. (I am still reading)

"Yea..." I scan the room for a clock, "How long was this ride again?"

My stomach rumbles. "I wonder what they have for food.." I utter quietly as I stare out the window.

A rapid pounding comes from your door. "G-guess who?" you hear a giddy voice call.

(Natalya roll a d20 puh-lease)

Also, no clock or stamp of time appears to be in the room at all.

I take it upon myself to get up and open the door, with a smile I greet the girl that tended to us earlier.

As Gwendhiel opens the door, the half-elf eagerly busts in the room holding 4 leaflets and 1/5th of "Choker's Vodka".

"Ah, thank you ma'am!" I say as I put my hand out to receive the vodka and leaflets

"Hand a leaflet, if you will please, Natalya."

She smiles sheepishly as she hands Natalya one leaflet and the vodka. However, the poor half-elf lets go a moment too soon before she can reach to grab the vodka. Fortunately enough, just before it drops to the ground, Natalya is able to save it from its plummet. The cups her hands over her face saying "Oh no, I'm so sorry...I'm sorry."

I walk over to Natalya and take the leaflet from her hands to examine it's contents. (The first time I thought I would just say it and it would pan out from there, then I say Leon replied and finally I read it wrong. XD)

I purse my lips for a moment, but let them into a shaky smile,"No no, it's fine ma'am. Thank you for bringing 'em here!"

The girl uncovers her face, with bug eyes and sweat dripping down her face. She smiles lightly, and backs up against the door, stuttering "I-if you need anything else. Just ring again, and I'll do my best to be here as...as soon as I can."

I nod,"Of course, thanks again miss."

Stands up and calmly takes a leaflet and puts it underneath my arm. "Oh, dear. That poor girl." Looks at the door sadly. "I feel quite bad now." Goes and sits on the sofa again. Opens the leaflet and views it.

"You all are too easy on her. You all are the intoxicated ones and shes more clumsy than you."

"I noticed that from the beginning. Tsk tsk, must be new." I say as I shrug.

The menu reads

Bugbear stew: 5 sp

Chicken & Dumpling Soup: 3 sp

New Ox Steak: 1 gp

Silver Thread Bread: 2 sp

Crawler's Special: Potato Shrimp Pasta Salad Sandwich(Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner of champions!): 2 gp
